Default pass 'click' (button position) to another tab

Hi

Santa gave me a new touch screen so I'm in the middle of doing my own profile (which I'll upload once done)

I have lots of tabs and on a couple of the tabs it has the same toggle switch.

So I have ECM toggle switch on two tabs. Tab1 I press it ON. Is there a way to pass the status to the other tab that has the ECM toggle switch so that says ON as well?? (ie press 1 switch it changes the position of the switch on two tabs)

Hope u guys understand the issue and thanks for any replies

Cheers

JP

Hey Damon! Merry Christmas and good luck with your new touchscreen.

Yes! There is a way to do that. You make 1 original button, and them add 'Clone' type buttons of it on other tabs. I have done this in my new IL2 profile. I put a wrap around Toolbar that appears on every tab in the profile. So, I put the original toolbar buttons on the first (Game) tab. Then I added buttons on the other tabs and made them 'clone' type buttons. After you have made a button a clone type, you can then select it's 'source' button from the drop down list. This is all done in the the Button Editor.

Since my toolbar was the same on each tab, I also checked the checkbox to 'Lock' the clone button to the same position of the source button. So, you can do that as well, if your button is in the same position. That saves you time when you drag the original around, all of the clones will be repositioned as well.

One more thing about the Toolkit. There is a bug you should know about. If you open the Tab Editor, and rename a tab, you will probably 'lose' all of the buttons on that tab. This is because I forgot to go through the list of buttons and make sure they all know the new name of the tab they are on. But you can always use the backup (.bak) of your profile if you have any problems.

Hope this helps....

What game are you making a profile for? Lockon?

Cheers!

Looks good so far! Can't wait to see it when it's done.
