Does anyone have any experience in general about these DIY 19'' Touchscreen overlays?

Find DIY Touch Screen Panel Kit TouchScreen For 19" Inch LCD on eBay Global Buying, with worldwide deals on items in all your top categories

It seems like a cheap way to get to touchscreen nirvana with my leftover 19'' 5:4 LCD screen. Its guarantee is voided anyway already, so no hassle with the open-the-case-and-void-your-warranty issue.

I think someone here used one of those and didn't have any problems. Only thing is the bezel trim ring doesn't fit correctly any more once you install one of those.

What might be the consequences of that? I don't know what it does in the display...

Talking Re: Screens which have been tested

Hi all,

Just to let folks know I have gotten the Planar PT1510MX with the Genzu brand touchscreen and have gotten TB to work just fine using XP.

I initially tried Win7 Beta but the USB driver would not recognize the USB when it was inserted.

Running server mode on a MSI Atom 330 with 2gig of ram and seems nice and snappy .

As info, I'm using TB on a Panasonic Toughbook CF-M34 (quite an old model, but cheaper than the brand new ones ), and it works perfectly fine

I bought a 3M-M150 capacitive touch 15" monitor. The native is 1024x768.

I got it off e-bay new in the box for about $200US and I love it.

Works great with TB in both XP and Vista (32-bit).
