Default Screens which have been tested

This post contains the definitive list of screens which have been tested by the TB Team. Despite our best efforts to test and ensure that screens are compatible, we accept no responsibility if you purchase a screen which does not function correctly with TB. That being said, most modern touch-screens should work fine. Make sure you keep your receipt and that you're able to return the screen in case it is not compatible.

Other posts by users who have tested screens other than those listed in this post are most welcome, but are not verified by the developers of TB.

Both of these screens can usually be found on Ebay.

One of those Lilliput links aren't good. One is a monitor (no USB cable).

Here's what I found: Don't let the stated resolution bother you, it's 640x480 if you use it as a TV monitor (such as in the car). But on the AllCam website they explain that as a computer monitor it's 800x600 High Res display. I'm using mine and even though I know the old vid card will go to 640x480, it won't when trying to set the Lilliput in Windows. It only goes down to 800x600. They come in black and grey.

ruggbutt,

I'm interested in buying the TM-868. What you are saying is that I can run the display at 800x600 even when the specs say it's 640x480?

That's correct, because as a computer monitor it's native res is 800x600. That part confused me on a couple of sites until I found the explanation for the UK link:

Quote:
This 8" LCD touch screen monitor has the standard 4:3 display ratio, and offers standard 800 x 600 SVGA resolution (as computer monitor)
Which makes perfect sense because I can't dump the res below 800x600 on the computer that's running the screen. I run networked in server/client mode.

My TM-868 has a native resolution of 640x480. I'm not sure what you are talking about here. Every post I've read said that was it's native res... At 800x600 the fonts look kind of crappy.

My bad, I thought you were talking about the Lilliput. My comments reflect the Lilliput, as it's the only one I have hands on experience with.

My apologies for causing the confusion. I ended purchasing a TVIEW T-800TS. It supports an 800x600 resolution.
Thanks for the input.

Just got a line on one of these things (on sale now in Moscow). Price is good less than $200), but I don't recognize the manufacturer. Anybody recognize this ERA brand?
