Thanks so much for this great application.
I'm trying out Touch Buddy on a LG 17" LCD USB touchscreen monitor L1730SF (UPDD). But the touchscreen only works if it is set to be the primary monitor? If I set it to be the secondary monitor it sends the mouse presses to the other (primary) screen? Is there something basic I am missing? In the Pointer Device properties I get options Monitor 1, Monitor 2, Left, Right, Top Right etc etc. It is currently set to Monitor 2. If I set the touchscreen as the primary, Touch Buddy works fine, but then of course Falcon 4 wants to run on the primary monitor on top of Touch Buddy. I'm running my main screen and the touchscreen off a Nvidia 7900GS with NView enabled. Thank you. Last edited by 2Kewl; 05-07-2007 at 01:52 PM. |

This is a touchscreen driver issue. You need to tell the drivers that the touchscreen is the other monitor. Can I recommend you look at the following:
Setting up your Touchscreen and TouckKit Drivers

It does sound as though your TouchKit drivers think your touchscreen is the wrong monitor. It may be a problem/bug with your TouckKit drivers, but this would be the first I've heard of that. Make sure Windows AND your TouchKit drivers both agree. In Windows make sure your touchscreen is 'not' your primary monitor, like this: ![]() Make sure TouchKit knows that Monitor 2 is the touchscreen. Select and apply this a couple of times, and test it. When monitor #2 is selected it's text will turn white. I don't trust these drivers, so I would try and set this up a few times. This is probably where the problem is. ![]() If this is setup correctly, then when you do the Calibration test, the white test screen with the red Xs will be displayed on monitor 2. If you have selected monitor 2, but it displays the test on monitor 1, then Touchkit is bugged. Also, try these Beta drivers. Most people have the best luck with these!! Hope this helps! WBK

I have the same monitor and it's working fine using it as secondary (after finding the vista drivers)
Which version of UPDD are you running? 4.00 or 3.8 ? Note, If you are running Vista you need to use the 4.00 drivers Here you can download them, but they are not licensed so you will get a popup alarm ever 50 clicks. LG is working on releasing a licensed version that will fix this. Touch-Base - Download Centre In 4.00 you have a page with hardware..then two options Handling monitor and connect to USB. Set handling monitor to the correct number (#2 for you) Then hit the calibrate and you will get it on the correct monitor.

Wow, thanks for the prompt responses.
I've got it working now. I removed/reinstalled the drivers, set the touchscreen monitor as my secondary monitor and set the touchscreen drivers to "Monitor 2" then did a calibration ok. I think I got my monitor numbers messed up. I'm using the LG Flatron L1730SF with USB with the LG drivers version 3.08.52P with Windows XP SP2 and Nvidia Forceware drivers 93.81 Works fantastic now thanks. |

OK, I have a similar issue, and I'm completely baffled. I have a new 3M M170 touchscreen, using 3M MT 7.13.1 Win 32 64 drivers, on a Win 7 64 system, using two video cards (Nvidia GTX285 running samsung 46" LED LCD monitor ONE; Nvidia GT240 running touchscreen monitor two)
Drivers are installed, touchscreen calibrates fine (pressing buttons on touch screen), but cannot draw on touchscreen, as when I run my fingers on TS, I see boxes drawn on monitor one, or, icons on monitor one are being dragged. Running TB on monitor one, open TB on monitor one, drag it to TS, cannot press buttons on TB demo, or any other profile. Pressing on touchscreen causes a response on monitor one as if it is a mouse. Ran the Multimonitor choosing software from 3M, it is all set up correctly; touchscreen is "linked" to monitor two. I noticed someone just purchased an M150 here on the forums, and got it running. Anyone have any suggestions? I've read everything. No doubt, I'm missing something very very simple.... |

Sorry don't have a solution for your problem but just curious as to why you have 2 graphics cards in your setup. I also have a Nvidia 285 and can run the main monitor and a seperate touchscreen off the one card. May be worth trying to connect both your screens to your 285 and see if is possible to set it up that way. |

Touchscreen calibrates using 3M software but cannot draw on it (acts as mouse on main screen). Touchscreen calibrates using UPDD drivers, and can draw on it using same.
TB Demo appears on touchscreen, can use mouse to "click" on TB demo buttons, cannot use touchscreen to press buttons. So, it kind of works. I'm missing something..... |
