This has probably been stated somewhere already but just wanted any others looking for info on getting the best bang for buck using TB. With an overlay you can use it on any monitor it fits over even if the overlay is a little too big like I do. Use it on an old laptop and have a stand alone client touchscreen with no issues using the regular mouse ingame. They are pretty cheap on Keytecs site in the special section...aka refurb or new returned due to wrong size ordered etc. Got my 1315 for only $120 plus shipping. Also they are obviously a bigger screen so you can run 1024 x 768.

Have to second this. I also got a 1315 refurb unit and it's been fine here for several months now. Looked like new to me and works great...I've got it on an older Sony 15" monitor right now but tested it also with a 17" Viewsonic...worked ok even though it didn't fit the screen perfectly.I'm about to get another 17" or 19" monitor for my radios and will probably eventually get an overlay for that one (to use in non-TB stuff for right now
)

Have you ever tested it on a 17" crt? I'm assuming the viewsonic was an lcd. It is almost the same size when I put it in front of the screen. I figured I could just recalibrate but since the magic touch calibraton program has fixed positions I think I would just have to use the monitor controls to shrink the screen a little and I would have full touch area to screen. In any case that was just my alternate use I figured when getting the 1315 on a tight budget, for now the laptop mounting with a 14.1 lcd running in client mode is working great.

No, I don't have any CRT's remaining
. I didn't try to calibrate it to the different screen size although there should be ways to do that.
